Elstree to Barnet linear

Ramble: 3422. Meet Elstree & Borehamwood station WD6 3LS  11.28. Distance: 8 miles.  Lunch: The Gate, Barnet Road, Arkley EN5 3LA. (GR  TQ217951) 13.30.   Travel: London St Pancras International (Thameslink service Platform B) 11.03. This train runs from Sutton through to St Albans  so you may want to board the train at intermediate stations. All within Freedom Pass boundary. Leader: David 07929 075 722. This walk follows the part of the London Loop and the Dollis Brook Greenway. Mostly level but with some steep climbs There are many stiles, kissing gates, stairs and foot bridges. There is field edge, farmland, woodland and also road walking involved. There are various drop out points to catch buses including from the lunch venue. Approximately 4 miles pre-lunch and 4 miles post-lunch.
