Worplesdon to Woking linear

Ramble: 3435. Meet: Worplesdon station 11.18. Distance: 5.5 miles. Lunch: The Fox & Flowerpot, The Goldsworth Park Centre, Woking GU21 3LG (GR SU984588) 13.00. Travel: London Waterloo 10.45am, Clapham Jctn 10.52. Return from Woking station where there are many trains to London Waterloo. Buy day return to Worplesdon. Freedom Pass boundary is Surbiton. Leader: Rosemary (07486 081 775)  Worplesdon is deep in the Surrey countryside. The walk is over Smart’s Heath Common and through woods to cross Woking golf course and eventually to meet the Basingstoke Canal. About 3.5 miles. After lunch the walk is wholly along the Basingstoke Canal to Woking station.
