Theydon Bois to Loughton linear (Epping Forest)

Ramble: 3463. Meet: Theydon Bois LU station, CM16 7EU, 11.15. Distance: 6.5 miles. Lunch: Kings Oak, High Beech, Epping Forest, IG10 4AE (GR TQ411981) 13.15. Travel: On Central Line train for Epping. Journey time from Bank station to Theydon Bois is 35 minutes. Within Freedom Pass boundary. Leader: Peter 07528 716 569. We walk four miles (approx. 1hour 45 mins) from Theydon Bois station on good paths through Epping Forest to the Kings Oak pub. The afternoon walk is 2.5 miles to Loughton station. Apart from some road walking when we leave and approach the stations the walk is all off road – although they are never far away. No drop out points other than taxi from the pub.
