Meet: Princes Risborough station 11.25.
Distance: 6.5 miles.
Lunch: The Plough at Cadsden HP27 0NB (GR SP826044) 13.15.
Travel: Marylebone 10.43. Return trains from Wendover 16.26, 17.20, 17.48 (Chiltern line), 16.56, 17.23, 17.58 (Underground). Buy two single tickets. Freedom Pass boundary West Ruislip (outbound) and Amersham (return).

The panoramic Chilterns. Leaving Prices Risborough station we follow the Icknield Way and Ridgeway via Whiteleaf Hill with brilliant views over Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire plus an Anglo-Saxon burial mound (2.25 miles). After lunch we return to the Ridgeway with marvellous views over Chequers and on to Coombe Hill with views at a memorial celebrating the South African campaigns, and then to Wendover station (4.25 miles). Please note that the walk will be hilly in parts.
