Ramble: 3448. Meet: Petersfield station GU32 3EE 11.32am Distance: 6.7 miles. Lunch: The Harrow Inn, Church Road, Steep, Petersfield, Hampshire GU32 2DA. 12.30pm.(GR SU751251) Travel: (SW Railways) Waterloo 10.30, Woking 10.54, Guildford 11.02, Petersfield 11.32. Freedom Pass boundary: Surbiton. Leader: Laurie 07811 588 988. A walk that shows some of the Hampshire Hangers/Hills, without having to ascend them. Lunch is at one of the Times Top Ten unspoiled pubs in England, though with a limited menu it is full of character. Beautiful countryside which will be skirted after lunch circling back to the station by 5pm. Trains back to London run half hourly and take around 70 minutes. (Fare for specific trains, with Senior Railcard, around £12).
