Lancaster Gate to Charing Cross (linear)

Ramble: 3432. Meet: Lancaster Gate LU station (Central Line) W2 11.30am. Distance 4.5 miles. Lunch: 1.30pm The Edgar Wallace, 40 Essex street. A walk that takes in the parks of London in the morning- Kensington Gardens, Hyde Park, Green Park and St James’ Park, before reaching the heart of London at Horse Guards Parade, Whitehall and along the embankment to lunch near the Temple. The afternoon will satisfy the Xmas pub socialisers with stops at a few historic pubs whilst circling from the Royal Courts of Justice, a Romanian Church and the Inns of Court back through to Charing Cross station at the end of the afternoon.
