Isabella Plantation

Ramble: 3442. Meet: Richmond station TW9 2ND (GR TQ181751).  Distance: 4.5 miles. Lunch: New Inn, 345 Petersham Road, Ham Common, Richmond TW10 7DB (GR: TQ179722) 13.30. Travel: Waterloo 10.50, Clapham Junction 11.06, Richmond 11.10 (and bus 65)  Leader: Liz K.  07721 329 326. After meeting at the station we will catch the number 65 bus towards Kingston. We alight at the Petersham gate and walk along the flat path to the Ham gate. Then there is a small hill leading to Isabella. Here we will have time to walk around and admire the azaleas. Then we will head towards the pub for lunch. After lunch we will walk back to Richmond via Ham House and the river. All flat. Walk is about 2.5 miles before lunch. Those wanting to join at lunchtime it’s the 65 bus from Richmond alighting at the Ham gate and its at the junction.
