Ramble: 3393. Meet: Highgate station 11.30am. Distance: 6.5 miles. Lunch: The Wrestlers , 98 North Road, Highgate, London N6 4AA 12.30. (GR TQ 283883) Travel: to Highgate station(Northern Line), return from Baker Street Station(Jubilee, Bakerloo and Metropolitan lines). Many drop out points in town as needed. A Parks and Plaques walk. Takes in Queen`s Wood and Highgate Wood before lunch and Highgate Village, Hampstead Heath, Primrose Hill and Regents Park after. Street walking portions of Highgate and Belsize Park to Camden Town and Primrose Hill are punctuated by blue plaque memorials of people of note, and short comments/history on these will be given when necessary.(The walk is hilly in the early parts around Highgate and Parliament Hill. The end of the walk at Baker Street offers pubs for refreshment afterwards).
