Gomshall circular

Ramble: 3403. Meet: Gomshall station GV5 9NU 11.30. Distance: 5.5 miles. Lunch: The Abinger Hatch, Abinger Lane, Dorking RH5 6HZ (GR TQ118460) 13.30. Travel: Waterloo 10.30, changing at Guildford for the 11.13 to Gomshall from platform 8. Alternatively Wimbledon 10.10am, Epsom 10.28 again changing at Guildfordfor the 11.13 to Gomshall. Hourly return trains and Freedom Pass boundary is Surbiton. Leader: Rosemary 07486 081 775. This is a walk deep in the Surrey Hills and with far reaching views especially from the pub at lunchtime. It is slightly uphill before lunch but all down afterwards. There are about 3 stiles and a couple of rather nasty road crossings over the busy A25 but it is a mainly rural walk.
