Meet: Chipstead station 11.29.
Distance: 5.5 miles.
Lunch: The Woodman, Woodmansterne SM7 3NL (GR TQ075478) 12.45.
Travel: London Bridge 10.47, East Croydon 11.01 direct; if coming via Clapham Junction, change at East Croydon. Within Freedom Pass boundary.

The Lavender Walk. In the morning we walk 2 miles through woods and over downland, with some hills, to Woodmansterne for lunch. After lunch we walk 3.5 miles, first over fields – joining the London Loop for a while – to Mayfield lavender field, where there is an opportunity to buy lavender and lavender products at the shop. Then we walk through Oaks Park, by the site of Oaks Mansion, and back to Chipstead.
