Walk description: this is a lovely and scenic walk, a mix of woodland, commons, fields and pathways. The walk is evenly divided,
3.25 miles before lunch and 3.75 afterwards. The afternoon stretch includes a leisurely stroll through Chasemore Stables, owned by
footballer Michael Owen, followed by a visit to the lakes on Bookhams Commons. At the end of the walk a full range of refreshments
will be offered by Frances and Richard, who are opening their houses and garden areas. The walk is very easy, no serious gradients and no stiles.
Drop out points: just the one, but very convenient: Stoke D’Abernon & Cobham Station, just 5 minutes from the pub. Also, anybody
just wishing to start the walk at lunchtime, or just come for lunch, should make their way to this station, trains from Waterloo and Victoria.
Finally: anybody wishing to drive should report to Richard & Frances at Merrylands Farm (KT23 3ES), ideally by 11.30, where they may park for free all day!
