Leaving the station we take the footpaths and tracks to West Horsley place.
We cross the A246 and head on up Sheepleas. Gentle climb but good underfoot
and wooded so if it’s inclement we have some cover.
We walk around this lovely area of open land and wooded paths. At St Mary’s church
we recross the A246 and head across the fields ( it can be very wet underfoot here so
waterproof walking boots) to the rear of Squires garden centre and Cranmore school
before arriving at the pub.
After lunch we set off along tracks towards Horsley station and this can be as long
or short as people wish depending on the weather.
There is an infrequent bus (No 478) from near the pub to Guildford or Leatherhead
for anyone wanting it.
