Return trains only one                  per hour\, aim for 16.26 train. \nLeader: Andy 07917 844 501 \n               From the station we walk 2.5 miles to the pub\, through the Vann Lake nature reserve\, past a disused windmill\, and an old school                             house. After lunch we pass through the village green\, which was the scene of a bloody battle\, and through the woods back to the station. \n

DESCRIPTION:Ramble: 3508 \n Meet: Hampstead station\, NW3 1QG 11.40 \n Distance: 6.5 miles (2.8 miles in the morning) \n Lunch:  The Old Bull and Bush Inn\, N End Way London\, NW3 7HE (GR TQ260869) 13.00. \n Travel:  Northern Line Edgware branch\, 11.10 (for example) from  Waterloo. Return from Hampstead Heath and Belsize Park. \n                Within Freedom Pass area \n Leader:  Malcolm  07990 572 191. \n A very different walk on Hampstead Heath. The walk takes us due north to see some heritage within the village and we emerge on West Heath and Whitestone Pond. We walk along what’s known as The Pergola and The Hill garden and eventually arrive at Golders Hill Park (part of the Heath). This takes us straight to the pub for lunch. In the afternoon we’ll marvel at the weird Sandy Heath and then cross over to East Heath (the largest part of the Heath)\, where we intend to stop at the well-known sights\, including Kenwood House\, the ponds and Parliament Hill\, plus some that are less known by most. Drop-out and joining point for buses at the pub. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n\n
