After lunch we shall enter Richmond Park (National Nature Reserve) through Ham Gate\, then to the Isabella Plantation to view the seasonally blooming azaleas and rhododendrons. We shall leave Richmond Park by Petersham Gate\, following the footpath past Petersham Church and across Petersham Meadows to re-join the towpath and return to Richmond Station.There are a number of cafes and pubs around Richmond Station.

Scenic views of Wembley en route to lunch in Preston Hill. The pre-lunch walk is 3 miles. After lunch we take a two-stop tube journey to Harrow on the Hill\, encompassing Harrow School and St Mary’s Church. This offers Lord Byron’s favourite view\, and a bizarre tombstone inscription.
