Return on Northern Line from East Finchley.\n \nLeader: Laurie 07811 588 988\n \nAfter negotiating the detritus of Finsbury Park near the station (mattresses\, bottles\, old newspapers and men clutching bottles or cans happy to talk about their monetary problems)\, we soon leave that and start on the Capital Ring with fine views of London. \n(The terrain underfoot can be stony\, as it is on a well trodden pathway\, so well padded comfortable shows are advised). We arrive at the end of the North section of the Parkland walk at Highgate\, where those eager to get to the pub early or wishing to drop out can take the 43 or 134 bus to Muswell Hill. A walk through Queens Wood and Highgate Wood get us nearer to our lunch stop. After lunch we have a much shorter ramble through Highgate Wood and Cherry Wood to East Finchley.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\n \n \n \n\n

Within Freedom Pass boundary\n \nLeader: Marion 07748 185 367\n \nFollowing the Capital Ring through Ealing Park to Perivale Park and the Pear Tree running track cafe. We exit east towards the A40 and walk towards the Myllet Arms for a carvery lunch or Green King pub menu. Plenty of indoor  tables or outdoor garden area. After lunch we head south through the golf course to enter Pitshanger Park following the River Brent to exit east towards the arts and crafts Brentham estate. We continue east towards Hanger Hill woods and then to the North Circular for buses to Ealing Broadway station.
