Brentwood to Harold Wood linear

Meet: Brentwood station, Essex 11.27.

Distance: 6.5 miles.

Lunch: Thatcher’s Arms, Great Warley, CM13 3HU (GR TQ583907) 13.15.

Travel: London Liverpool Street 10.50, Stratford, 10.57 (Shenfield line). Return trains from Harold Wood, on same line, every 10 mins. All within Freedom Pass boundary.

                 A good walk in the country. After leaving Brentwood we follow footpaths through wooded areas to visit Warley Place Nature Reserve, where there should be a good display of Spring flowers, and on to the lunchtime pub. Possible drop-out point at lunch taking a bus or taxi on 10 min journey back to Brentwood station. After lunch we cross over the M25 and continue through commons, fields and back lanes to Harold Wood.
