Meet: Gomshall station, Surrey, GU5 9NP 11.51
Distance: 4.5 miles before lunch and 1.5 after.
Lunch: Willian Bray, Shere. GU5 9HS GR (TQ072477) 13.30
Travel: SWR to Guildford and then GWR to Gomshall.
For those who want to drive parking is free in the station approach.
10.03 or 10.30 Waterloo to Guildford Arr 11.10 / 11.02 then 11.36 to Gomshall arr 11.51
Wimbledon 10.19 arr 11.10 or 10.36 arr 11.24. Then 11.36 to Gomshall arr 11.51
Return: Reverse of the above or bus 32 to Guildford and
Dorking hourly and then train.

Walk: We leave the station and there is a bit of road walking
before we get onto the footpath leading to Shere. Here we
skirt the village before heading uphill to the Albury estate.
The walk is through woodland and is easy before descending
quite steeply to St Peter and St Paul`s church.
Here we rejoin the road before getting onto the footpath
leading back to Shere and the pub for lunch.
After lunch we walk through the pretty village and then there
is a slight ascent before we retrace our steps back to the
station
