Travel: Quickest route via Upminster C2C train Fenchurch Street 10.41, West Ham 10.50, Barking 10.55. Arrive Upminster 11.03, then take District 2 stops back to Hornchurch. Return: Frequent trains from Hornchurch and Upminster. Within Freedom Pass zone.

This is a walk on good paths through the Ingrebourne Valley Nature Reserve and Hornchurch Country Park and incorporates the artefacts and relics of RAF Hornchurch. There is an information centre managed by the Essex Wildlife Trust with café and toilets.
